Hi there,
We're in the process of buying a 2005 4Runner (Canadian) and we're hoping to install our Britax Marathon in it. Our questions are: where do we install the tether strap, and is the strap necessary (the manual says that it's optional, and improves the stability). It would be really useful if someone could post a picture of where the tether strap should go. DD will outgrow her bucket seat soon, so we need to get her groovy new seat installed. Thanks for all of your help! |

The main thing is that you can just find a solid leg or seat track under the front seats... I'm pretty sure it'll be easy to deal with, most SUV's are... you kind of get on your knees, push the front seats forward, and dig around for a good place to tie that tether connector strap (if it's a seat track, you can sort of shove the metal D-ring between it and the carpet in most cases)..even a solid front leg of the center console or seatbelt buckle stalk can be good to tie the connector strap around... examples of bad things to use? Cable harnesses, seat springs...anything that moves a lot when you tug it, basically. I'm currently linkless but if you google, "britax convertibles tethered" then the angelfire site with a million pictures is about the first link that pops up :)
