Default Finding quality baby goods.

I live in Wichita, Kansas and we have no large baby stores (e.g. Babies'R'Us) as a result I am unable to find certain types of products. For example, I have been unable to find any Combi, Peg Perego, or Maclaren strollers. Although I have access to the Internet I am hesitant to purchase a large ticket item without first testing it. Do you have any suggestions, or does anyone in the area know of a baby store that I haven't found? Thanks for the help.

You can try the websites for the various companies to see which retail stores in your area carry the strollers. There is 1 store in Wichita that carries Combi and Peg Perego strollers (Hatching Jacket)

The websites are:

http://www.perego.com/

http://www.combi-intl.com/

http://www.maclarenstrollers.com/

Yep, that is our thoughts as well---most web sites have dealer locators. Other than that, if you order online, just make sure the site has a good return policy in case you have to order sight-unseen.

I guess I will have to rely on the online store's return policies, I have actually tried what you suggested (finding local dealers online) only to find that the local stores named in web sites as dealers do not necessarily have these items in stock, and will only order them if purchased. While I found our local store to be everything that you mentioned in your book (personal attention with a high price tag) I did not find a wide selection of goods (which you also mentioned in your book). Though the staff was friendly in person they twice failed to get back with me with information on the products I was looking for. Thanks for the suggestion, I will go to the online recommendations to find a store I can work with.
