Default Ques for Alan and Denise

I looked on Combi's website and can't find this info...

Does the newest ('01) Ultra Savvy have breaks on the wheels and locking front wheels?

Also, do you feel that the Pliko or the US has higher quality and better features?

Thanks very much.

I have the 2001 Ultra Saavy and it does have brakes and locks. I love it!

Oh, thanks so much.

Please tell me more. How did you choose it? Have always liked it a lot, but thought maybe it seemed on the smallish side. I love the weight and size and one-handed close but think the basket is a little small, etc.

Is the baby comfy in it?

Hi there. I see your question has been answered.

FYI: Combi will coming out with a new Ultra Savvy in late January 2002; we'll describe it shortly in our 2002 update posted to our web page. It features a larger seat area, bigger wheels and slightly heavier weight (13 lbs). If you like the 2001 version, you might want to get it now before it disappaers!

I love my stroller! The US is not my primary stroller-I use the Combi Spirit for that. I use this one for travel and trips to the mailbox down the street. It's smaller than mu primary stroller but bigger than most umbreller strollers you see. I did research on the web and took the Baby Bargains Book advice in choosing. I wanted easy to unfold and lightweight. I had an Aprica with my first child but those are hard to come by now. Try the strollers out in Babies R Us. The US is available in the Right Start Store. My 9 month loves it. The basket is not too bad.

Thanks very much for your answer. Love your books by the way!

Should I hold out then for end January - does it sound like an improvement? Will it have a bigger basket too?

I have always like the Combi US, but have always thought it looks a little skimpy. Maybe the new one would be the best of both worlds (like a cross between the plikomatic and the older US?).
