This weekend, I borrowed my tenant's 16 month old twins, and took them to the library with my 3 1/2 son. We used their stroller, a Graco DuoLite, I believe. Their mom has really liked that stroller and has used it lots in the past year. She's also liked that her mother-in-law bought it, as she is a single mom without much money.
Just to humor me, if she were to get a new stroller, what would you recommend? I though that this one had lousy steering, loaded down with two children and 30 library books. It does fold well, go through doorways (not with much to spare, but it does go), and let the girls sit side by side. As I said, they are now 16 months, and about 25 pounds each. The mom drives a '93 Mercury Sable, with a pretty big trunk. They take their stroller for walks around the neighborhood, as well as in the car to get the girls in and out of stores, classes, etc. Toby |

Toby,
Hi!!! This looks like a perfect question for the Stroller Board on Parents Place (and Strollerqueen Janet!). I'm unfortunately not educated enough in double strollers to answer. Come on over here: http://boards2.parentsplace.com/mess...rollers55.html Jennfier |

Hi Toby!
What would her budget be? Would she want a tandem (front/back) or SBS? And, how critical of a factor is the weight of the stroller? She currently does have one of the lightest-weight ones, btw. She also has the ONLY one that could carry 30 library books! Finally, as children get heavier, tandems get much harder to push, and SBS are much easier. (Unless she wants to shell out $500 for a Kiwi Explorer or a Gozo or a Runabout, which don't fold, anyway.) I'm happy to help, just need a bit more info. Doubles are tough! Janet
