Default Kolcraft double umbrella or Graco Duolite???Already have a MBUD...

and need something EASY AND LIGHTWEIGHT AND GATE-CHECKABLE for the mall or airport. I LOVE my MB, but it's not the easiest to transport!!

And it's not the weight of the MB, but its folded configuration that I find awkward.

Having just bought the MB, this 2nd stroller in a one-month period needs to be a cheapie to appease DH. If I were going to spend more than $200, I'd get an opus duo (02) from ebay or an 02 Aria Twin. So if I can convince him, which of those strollers is better?

Thanks a ton!

I also have a MB double (Terrain) and take it about everywhere EXCEPT the mall and airport. For those uses, I have a Kidco Maverick double I got on clearance last spring for $100. We have a Kolcraft umbrella single which held up just fine. In retrospect, the Kolcraft double could have done the job for us. It seems to hold up mUCH better than you'd expect for a Kolcraft. I am not sure if I have answered your question, but I know i am still telling DH the MB was worth every penny! Kristan

I have a DuoLite that I'm about to sell - not because I don't like it, but because I came across a Mac Concorde Duo (UK made) for a wonderful price. It's pretty big when it's folded, but it's lightweight, stands while folded, and has the onehanded fold feature. Oh, and the basket is HUGE, which would be great for running through airports. I wouldn't want to leave it in my car trunk full time, which is why the Mac appealed to me.

Watch out for the 02 Opus Duos - there are a lot of them out there with seat width issues.

Would you e-mail me and let me know what you're asking for it? Is the concorde duo a recent stroller or is it a little older?

Thanks for the caveat on the opus duo - I had wondered whether that was an issue - and especially on ebay, I'd have no recourse if it were too narrow.

My emial is clairenoelke@hotmail.com

I'll be out tomorrow but will check email tomorrow night - although with 2 babies, I never know when I'll have the chance!! So just contact me when you can.

thanks!!
