Default I bought the Avalon twin for $59.99 at Burlington...

it's lightweight, easy to fold, cheap, compact when folded.

I checked that bar behind my son's head and he has a foot or so to frow before it's a problem.

The only downside (besides the fact that it's a cheapie) is that the combined weight limit is low - 55 lbs. But my two combined right now is 38 lbs at 4 months and 22 months.

It's no luxury stroller, but it does have some nice features -

those maclaren-like rubbery plastic wheels, 5 sets of wheels with 2 wheels each, a two-position recline

And it's nota major investment. By the time it falls apart, I hope to have some feedback on the new maclaren doubles for 2003.

It steers like a dream - almost, but not quite, as well as the Mountain Buggy Urban Double - which is just too heavy to constantly haul in and out of the car. For occasional use, fine, but not everyday errands.

I guess we'll see!

I am SO glad this stroller works for you! You KNOW I'll be watching, too, for reviews of the 2003 Macs!

I called UPS (again) to have them pick up the Aria Twin. Destination? Peg Perego, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The man I spoke with on the phone asked if she (Peg) was expecting the shipment. :-) How cute!

I just got off the phone with Kit from Baby Outfitters. She said that if I find the Mountain Buggy Urban Double to be too much stroller for everyday use, let her know. She is also starting to sell the Maclaren line and would be happy to take care of her customers who need a second stroller. (She also said that many who use the MBUD and also have a 2nd stroller end up using the MBUD simply because it's more comfortable for baby and easier to push!) In addition, if you've already purchased a MB from her and find you need a second stroller, that she will make sure that you are taken care of and offered the best customer service she can provide. Sounds pretty good to me!

I did npot buy my MB from them - from Alan at Sycamore Kids - although I am really impressed bythe reviews I read of her customer service.

But I will contact her if and when we get a mac double.

I LOVE my MB and there is nothing easier to push - even my zooper walk air single feels heavy to push now - and I was so impressed with it before!

But it is just too much for me to load and unload - maybe if I had an SUV - to accommodate my stroller - dh will be thrilled with that logic!

I will take it on trips or all-day outings, but the grocery, the mall, the post office? I guess it's just tough going anywhere with 2 babies - regardless of the stroller!
