Default Question about P3 Canopy

We recently purchased a P3 which we love, but I have a question about the canopy. It's a bit difficult to articulate, so bear with me. After attaching the canopy and putting the back of the stroller in its most reclining position, we noticed that the back part of the canopy is not taut where the metal semicircle rim is below the see- through mesh. It's taut on one half but the other half is sort of dented in so the back part of the canopy does not lay smoothly in the half circle. We weren't sure if the metal rim part is just bent and it's a defect or whether maybe it has to be bent (and not lay smoothly) so that the stroller can colapse correctly. If anyone can even make sense of what I just described and has some insight, I would love to hear from you.

Thanks.

Jill

Ohmygosh! I have exactly the same "problem" (if it is one). I keep bending the damn thing thinking it will at least poke out into a rounded shape. I don't think it's supposed to be taut like the rest, but the bend rim bugs me.

I'll check mine tomorrow. I haven't noticed it as a problem on mine. I put the seat reclined all the time, but can't remember if I have tried extending the entire canopy at the same time. I'll look and see.

Default RE: Question about P3 Canopy

I have the same problem with my P3. I scanned a copy of the receipt (or you can fax) to Peg Perego Customer Service and they are sending a new hood/canopy soon.

Here is the e-mail address I used:
PeregoService@Perego.com

*I can't seem to post the e-mail address wo/ it being jumbled like this even though its ok in the post when I edit.
The address is peregoservice @ perego. com
without the spaces. We'll see if this works~

Good luck-

Default RE: Question about P3 Canopy

Thank you all so much for letting me know I wasn't imagining things! We ordered our P3 through Marilyn at www.arunningstroller.com and she has already contacted Peg Perego on our behalf and they are sending us a new canopy (without all the hassle of sending in the receipt). Apparently this has been an issue in the past and Peg Perego says that the bend will eventually straighten out. In any event, Marilyn said for anyone who purchased a P3 through her with the same problem, to please contact her directly and she will take care of it for you. If the message boards haven't convinced you to order through Marilyn, I certainly hope this will. She will match any lower price you find for an item she carries and as evidenced by this, has fantastic customer service!
