Can anyone help me with the differences between these two strollers? I am looking for a fairly lightweight stroller for minimal usage, but I want it to be good when used. I had the ZIppy, but it's too much of a stroller for me now. I want smaller wheels and lighter with decent 1 handed steering. I will be using a double most often, so this would be for those occasions I only have 1 child with me indoors. Thanks for any help! Oh, I pushed the quest and liked it, but haven't seen the swift irl...

Swift is a decent little stroller pushes ok not as good IME as a mac but certainly workable.
Between the two however i always say macs but then i really like those plus i do use them often. ;) Differences between the 2 would be the swift has better padding but lacks a legrest and does not have the hood pocket nor the raincover. It also does not feature a carry handle...i feel the biggest difference between the 2 is the fold i can fold my quest while holding my 2.5yo whereas the swift you cannot it's also a very stiff fold style compared again to a mac *however* for the price and if it's rarely going to be used then it would fall down to how much are the advantages to the quest worth to you? :D HTH http://pages.ivillage.com/cl-pamelamomof3 |

I was debating between these two strollers for a long time and finally got the Swift because I just couldn't justify the extra $100 for the Quest. I just don't think it has $100 worth of extra features. Other differences I noted: the Swift has a viewing window in the hood (although it's in the back, not the top, so it has limited usefulness); it has a better recline than the Quest; and there is greater access to and space in the basket in the Swift when the seat is in the upright position. Also, although there is no extendable leg rest on the Swift, the way the seat is structured basically mimics an extended legrest (only you can't push it back in to not have the extension). Also, I think that the angle of the seat on the Swift is more upright. The fold is a little stiffer than the Mac. I have successfully steered the Swift one-handed and frankly, wasn't that blown over by the steering on the Quest. It was very good, don't get me wrong, but I don't think it's far superior to the Swift. HTH

i think the swift is overall an excellent value. these posts cover it pretty well. the other thing i would add is that i found it just as easy to fold as the mac, but i know i am in the minority judging from reviews on amazon. i guess there are a lot of stiff ones out there. the mac has that dandy automatic lock when you push it down but the downside to that for me was having to lean over to unlock it while holding a baby. the swift has a little bar you swing around and snap on another bar at the top to lock it. i like that i can unhook that while standing up to open it. the steering is not quite as good as the mac (mac is really outstanding!) and i kick the wheels. but the swift has some things i like a bit better -- i think the recline settings snap into place better, better basket access, and shocks on all 4 wheels (instead of just the front).

Thanks for the responses! I am going to get a Swift, especially because of the price. My dh wasn't too happy to learn I sold the Zippy just to spend all of that $$$ on another stroller! He doesn't get it! LOL, thanks!

BTW, the best price I found on the Swift is $89.88 with free shipping at either D-Mart Express or D-Mart Stores.
