Default Instep/Saturn/Schwinn Stollers

I was very interested in the following strollers - and was wondering if anyone knew anything about them. Good, bad or indifferent - any advice is welcomed!!

INSTEP Safari TT With Turn Technology (Model - AR160)

Saturn Everyday Stroller (Models - SS100 or SS150 - haven't figured out the difference yet!)

Schwinn Swivel Jogging Stroller (Model - SC500)

Schwinn Everyday Stroller (Model - SC400)

Now I know that the difference between the Instep and the schwinn may just be the fabric color but I figured I would list them all in case there was more to it!

Thanks,
Colleen

Colleen,

I have the Safari TT for my outdoor stroller--but it works for everything. I love the swivel wheel and it has everything you need where ever you are going-parent tray, child tray, large basket, multiple recline, etc. I am not a runner, but use it to walk on a bumpy dirt road, the zoo, parks, and paved areas. I could use it as my only stroller, but it isn't super-compact when folded and I used to drive a Saturn which had limited trunk space. I would definitely recommend this stroller!!

I've had the Instep Safari for almost 2 years now. I really enjoy this stroller. It works great outdoors and is super easy to push and steer. It is also fine indoors, but it is a rather large stroller so be prepared for that. I mainly leave mine in the garage and use it for neighborhood walks, zoo trips, art&street fairs, etc.

We just took it with us on a trip to Florida and it worked well. We had no trouble gate checking it on the airplane.

The main downside (in my experience) is that it's a rather heavy stroller and somewhat awkward to lift when folded, so I wouldn't use it as my primary in and out of the car stroller. But I am really short and something of a weakling. :)

HTH,

Hi there... i have been searching for a store that carries this stroller so that I can see it in person. Where did you buy yours? or did you look at it in a store/what store?
Thank you... I love the idea of this stroller and really would like one.

I looked at these strollers not that long ago. I found the Instep TT at both Sports Mart and Sports Authority. And our local Baby Depot carries the Schwinn SC500. Good Luck, HTH. Stacey.

I bought mine at BuyBuyBaby, but I have also seen it at Baby Depot (inside some Burlington Coat Factory stores).

Thanks for the input everyone - I also was having a hard time finding this stroller in real life - I finally called Instep and they suggested Sports stores that carry bikes also carry their line. We ended up finding it at the Sports Authority. But just so you know....the company has the safari TT backordered and it won't be ready to be shipped out until April 16th. So all the BabyDepots in my area are sold out (and I was actually told it was discontinued - which was not true).

So we did try it out - and liked it very much. Although we've decided that it can't be the only stroller since it is still big when folded and I have a Civic. So we are going for both the Safari TT and the Schwin Everyday Stroller!!! Hopefully the Schwin will be everything I expect it to be!

Thanks again everyone!
Colleen

I have been studying my stroller choices for a while and had more or less decided that I wanted to try a Schwinn SC500 as I have read that the storage along with all other stroller amenities are top notch. PLUS I think the swivel front wheel is the way to go as far as handling.
However, I'm seeing so many people here leaning toward the Instep Safari even though the reviews say the storage is less spacious than the SC500's. Does the Safari have plusses that I'm missing? Is it because the front wheel will lock and (I don't think) the SC500's will not?
Is the locking front wheel really important if a person does not run or jog?
Does anyone here actually have an SC500 that can comment on these things?
Thanks!
