Our son is 4 months and 90th percentile for both height and weight (17lbs, 8oz & 26.5 inches long.) He's grown out of his SnugRide, and since we have the Kolcraft Snap 'n Go, that means he's also grown out of his stroller. (And we love this stroller, too.)
We've decided on the Jeep Cherokee jogging stroller with the swiveling front wheel for our "big outing" stroller - DH likes to hike, and we want something rugged we can take along when we don't want him in the backpack. But for our "keep in the car for mall trips" stroller, I'm at a loss. I was hoping that if I posted our top five criteria, one of the stroller experts could help? Otherwise I'll just be indecisive until he leaves for college. 1) We travel a fair bit, so something small and lightweight that we can check (or even better, carry on the plane) would be great - small is more important than lightweight, I suppose. 2) I shop more than DH would like, so a nicely sized basket underneath is important. 3) A cup holder, silly as it sounds, is very important. 4) A soft seat - DH refuses to consider mesh strollers because they seem uncomfortable. 5) A shade of some sort - we live in Seattle, so if it's not raining, it's sunny, and either way, we want to keep it off DS. Any and all help would be great - we're going to NYC this June, and need to have a stroller to bring with us. Thanks!

Another criteria you may want to add is a Full Recline Seat. Since your son is still little, and just starting on the whole sitting thing, you'll want a full recline when he naps. Generally, any baby under 6 months should have the option of full recline.
I can think of a few strollers, but none with cup holders... 1. Inglesina Zippy- easiest one-hand fold, lightweight, and comfy for baby 2. 2003 Zooper Z-Street- great brand and great stroller, new ones on Ebay now for cheap! 3. Peg Perego Pliko - good stroller with full recline, can test drive at Babies R Us If the cup holder's an issue, several companies make one you can buy and attach yourself! Also, Zooper is releasing their new 2004 line in April with some GREAT strollers on the list. www.zooperstrollers.com. Hope this helps a bit! Mariana Mother of Gabriel, 08/14/2003 |

Oooh, full recline. I forgot about that. I also forgot that my husband is 6'1" and I'm 5'9", so we need something tall. So many strollers.
I think we'll go try out the Peg Perego this Friday, but I really like the Zooper Z street .. Thank you!
