Default Mac basic v. composite weight?

Does anyone know what the difference is between the Maclaren basic vs. composite weights? I couldn't find anything on their website and couldn't find an email address either. Everyone seems to go by the listed basic weight, but I'm wondering if composite includes the hood, basket, and seat fabric in which case the composite would seem to be more legitimate and a better way to compare with other strollers.

Thanks,

H-

I think the composite weight is the weight of EVERYTHING (hood, basket). Since you can use the stroller w/o the hood, perhaps they are giving the weight without that as the basic weight.

Yes, that is right. The basic is just seat, frame and wheels. The composite is everything, including the raincover attached.
