Default Red Valco Runabout Single Arrived (EDITED: link to pics of Valco & Bassinet)

I'm mostly a "lurker" with an occasional post, but my new Valco Runabout Single(Thanks Rodney) just arrived & thought folks may appreciate pictures of it.

I ordered the red & love it - very dark red & black check pattern & the reflective stitching is pretty cool. (Although the stitching shows up very bright in the pictures when using a flash, it is really not that white, more subtle.) DH thinks it "is quite a piece of machinery" and very happy with the height of the handlebars. I have heard from other Chicago moms that the air filled tires will be great for the bumpy sidewalks in our neighborhood.

I can't really write a full review as my baby hasn't arrived yet! And I don't have anything to compare it to except a family member's squeaky, pull to the left Graco!

I have also ordered the bassinet and stand, when it arrives I can post pics of these as well if anyone is interested.

Thanks to all of the regular posters - I feel I have learned so much from these boards! :)

Default My computer won't let me see the pic's anyone have a clue why? I am not good w/ comp. stuff...

All my bar at the bottom says is "done" when I click an attachment. Could it be my anti-virus software?

TIA, Trin.

WOW! That IS a nice looking stroller. I am a moron - but is the bassinet for use in the stroller (like an infant seat??) or just for use by itself?

The bassinet is made to use with the stroller frame & comes with a bar to attach it, I haven't attempted to do that yet though. I love the idea of having a pram-type set up for a newborn - I think I fell in love with all the cute ones I saw when we lived in London.

We are also planning to use the bassinet as a "regular" bassinet for the first few months, it's very cushy & breathable so hopefully it will work. I like the idea of getting double duty out of it - both on the stoller and as a first bed. I'm glad I bought the stand as it has clips that stick out on the bottom so it might be difficult to sit on the floor by itself (carpet OK.)
