Just wondering if anyone has this stroller and what they think of it..I have seen the evenflo journey in the rainforest print at target for $80 and i really like the look of it.. We cant afford to spend alot on a stroller since we will be spending alot of money to adopt a child . I like the look and the features on this stoller so i would appreciate any comments from those of u that might own it already

I have what I think is a similar stroller (Evenflo Featherlight Plus). I love it! It was about $65 originally, has lasted me almost 2 years of very hard use, and I have absolutely gotten my money out of it. I love the lightweight (13 to 16 pounds) and easy fold (don't know if the Journey has that). I like the child tray - worked great as a high chair in restaurants - and *really* love the parent tray. I also like the look. Most Evenflos have plastic covering the front legs, but mine doesn't, and that made it just about the only Evenflo I would consider.
The only two downsides on my stroller: it has only a very slight recline, so it's not a good stroller for a newborn who needs a nearly flat recline. Also, it has a big basket, but can be a tiny bit hard to access because there isn't a huge opening between the basket and the back of the seat. I use a big backpack as a diaper bag, and it can be hard to wrestle that in and out. But smaller diaper bags or shopping bags are no problem.

Thanks for the response..Not sure how this one compares to the stroller you have i think i read in the baby bargains book they dont make the featherlight anymore but i could be wrong. the Journey is about 22lbs and is the easy fold..it also says it has 2 recline postions not sure how much it reclines but our child will be around 4-6 months when we bring him home so i'm assuming we'll be ok without a full recline. I think the opening between the seat back and basket is decent size but i could be wrong..hopefully some others will reply about this stroller

Yes, the Featherlight was discontinued around the time I bought it. I don't know why. On the Evenflo website, the Journey and Journey Express looked the most similar, but I have never seen them IRL.
I believe the Journey stroller comes in a couple variations (Express, Premier) each with different prices and small improvements. So make sure you are getting the one you want. If you are interested, you can get the Featherlight Plus online at a few places. Each of these had different fabric options. $85 at http://shop.store.yahoo.com/netkidsw...ndsturpl1.html $98 at http://shop.babyandteen.com/803.html $88 but back ordered at http://www.babyant.com/bv032083.html And the Travel System in the slightly upgraded Featherlight Premier is available at http://www.babymajesty.com/viewprodu...0TS-by-Evenflo. I think the Featherlight Premier has suspension on the front wheels AND back, and possibly more reflectors than the Plus. I'm not sure of any other differences.
