Default LL Bean jogger/fixed wheel?

Has anyone tried the new LL Bean jogging stroller? It seems reasonably priced ($179), and the wheels pop off for travel. (Maybe this is common? I don't know.) And you know Bean's would have good customer service.

How much of a pain is a fixed wheel? I do not actually jog, so I want the stroller for walks on bumpy sidewalks, outdoor fairs, etc.

Default RE: LL Bean jogger/fixed wheel?

I just saw that in the catalog this weekend. I think it looks very similar (different colored fabric) to an Instep Jogger. And while I love LLBean, I am willing to bet you can get the same model Instep for cheaper than Beans. It is fairly common for wheels to pop off- some models dont tho so if that is what you want, make sure the model you get mentions easy pop off wheels.

I would say for walks and fairs, you will be happier with a swivel wheel. The most afforable one is an Instep Safari TT, I think. I own a Phil and Ted's E3 which I adore (esp if you are planning a number 2 down the road). I also owned an MBUS but prefer the Phil and Teds. Valco Runabout is another option.

You can check out joggingstroller.com for the most of those strollers including the Insteps.

Good luck
Betsy
