I originally wanted a Graco Quattro Tour but now after reading all of these posts I am wondering if I should spend a little more money and go with the Inglesina Zippy or Espresso... will the Graco Snugride fit securely onto either of these?

I have a zippy, and while DD has outgrown the snugride, it fit just fine. I always used the extra strap that comes with the zippy as an extra precaution and never had any problems.

Or maybe I am confusing her with another poster? It was the Zippy.

You are correct. We used the Zippy and Snugride combo and it worked great. Better than the Kolcraft Universal we had purchased to use with the Snugride, much better. The Snugride hoook clicks right into the Zippy napper bar (with the padding removed). We actually took the Kolcraft back and used the Zippy and Snugride. The Zippy also has a good recline so you don't always have to use the Snugride, although it is convenient for shorter trips.
