Default Question for Zooper Zstreet/Swing Owners

I have a Zooper Zstreet that I really like, but haven't been able to use without putting my 5 month old daughter in her carseat and using it as a travel system. The reason is that I can't make the straps cinch down far enough to be anywhere close to strapping her in. I realize the shoulder straps don't adjust up and down, but am I missing something here? I thought this stroller was fine to use with infants since it reclines, but if I can't buckle her in what's the point?

Help!

I don't have any firsthand experience with the zStreet, but the straps on my P3 were big on DD at that age. She wasn't a squirmer, so I never really worried about it too much since the strap between her legs would keep her from slipping out, Also I flipped the footrest all the way up.
I do have a Zoopair and haven't had any problems with those straps adjusting. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the zStreet have the newborn netting that attaches around the bottom to create a bassinette-like closure?

I have a boot if that's what you're talking about. I haven't tried attaching it yet. ALL the straps are loose on my dd right now, so it's loose over her shoulders and her waist. I don't know how tight stroller straps should be in the first place, is it ok if they're really loose?

No, she's not talking about the boot- but the netting is on the Waltz, not the swing/zstreet. However, on the zstreet, the footrest has zippers on each side that zip up to the sides of the main bed area, enclosing it. My DD is 8 months and the straps are a little big on her still! I just use the crotch and side lap straps since she isn't trying to climb out at this point anyhow. I don't think the shoulder straps are necessary unless you are trying to keep baby from climbing out, and at 5 months, I don't see that as being a big issue (but it might be for you?). I've used my swing with my DD since she was about 4 months old without the carseat and haven't had any problems.
