Default Electric Baseboard Heaters

Our house has electric baseboard heat. I'm worried about Colin sticking his fingers into the heater and burning himself once he gets mobile. Is there any way to babyproof against this? Has anyone else with baseboard heaters run into this?

Thanks,
Karen
