pinching and scratching baby

I managed to modify Jack's inclinations towards this at an early age. Now he has to squeeze my fingers while nursing, the entire time. Sometimes also annoying, but less potential for scarring!

On the occasions he does scratch, I stop the nursing, hold his hands/arms firmly so that he can't move them, and tell him firmly "no scratching, scratching hurts mama, if you scratch then we stop nursing." give it about 30 seconds and try again. if he keeps doing it, we stop for good (I've only had to do that once and when we tried again 5 minutes later, he didn't scratch at all.)
