Default Seamstress in Tallahassee Fl

Can anyone recommend a good seamstress in Tallahassee?

I plan to buy my dress online, but I need a seamstress to take the measurements for me. I am positive I will need alterations because I am petite, and I know I will need the hem taken up.

I tried a fabric store chain (JoAnn's) and they stated it was against store policy to give out any seamstress recommendations.

I tried the Better Business Bureau for my area. I could not find any members under "Seamstress." When I looked under "alterations-clothing," the two vendors were in Jacksonville which is 2 hours away.

Someone suggested I go to my local bridal salon, but I am afraid I will be punished for buying my dress online by being excessively charged.

I know I can look in the yellow pages, but how am I supposed to know if the person is any good without feedback from someone else who has used them?

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
