BBB Chicagoland outing (+pictures!!)

Well, we had SUCH a great time on Saturday! We went to a large park outside of the city and enjoyed lunch and a little walk. We spent a lot of time discussing what else: strollers, baby carriers, baby schedules and a lot more! Everyone was SO nice and friendly--and the BABIES!! Just adorable.

In attendance were: Caroline (C99), Nate and Jeff, Jennifer (JMarie), Aiden and Steve, Paula (Roleysmom) and Roley, Chrissy (heytootsey), Maya and Daryl, and me (Beckyr88) and Stella. (hope I got all the IDs right...you get the idea anyway)

I personally don't have many real-life mommy friends, so this outing was especially wonderful for me. I can't wait to see you all again! It was so reassuring to find out that we're not the only ones spending HOURS rocking the babe to sleep, learning what a co-op is (!!!!) and just spending a beautiful Saturday with such great people.

Unfortunately, I took out my camera too late and missed Jennifer, Aiden, Steve and Chrissy, Maya and Daryl....(and I couldn't resist sharing my two favorite pictures of Stella, please excuse this indulgence)....

I highly recommend those of you in other cities to meet your local BBBers!!! Guaranteed to be a great time! (can you tell I'm still excited??)

OH thanks for sharing the details and pics...what a wonderful time you can tell. I've always noticed the huge presence of "super cool" Chicago moms here...I know you all had a great time!!!

It looks like you all had a great time!! I so wanted to go, but woke up with a kink in my back on Saturday. So it was either this or the chiropractor - and he won out since he would then be closed till Monday.

You are so sweet to take and post the pictures! I think Stella would win a baby photo contest hands down. Too cute! I really enjoyed meeting everyone. And Roley had a great time too! I hope we do it again soon.

We were so sorry to have to leave early, but it was a good thing, since there was a nasty accident on Route 20 - Steve was almost late for a meeting! Aidan had such a wonderful time meeting all the other babies, and it was great to meet other mommies and daddies in the area (whose children aren't YEARS older!). Everyone was so nice and the children so amazingly happy and content! We're already looking forward to the next get-together!
