Cruising with kids

I know in another thread some of you have mentioned having done cruises with kids and wonder what everyone's favorites are - ships as well as destinations. We would like to take the kids over Christmas break. I am starting by looking at the Disney cruise but am interested in considering others as well.

All of the big ones have programmes for children starting at age 3 with the exception of HAL which starts for kids age 5 and up.

www.cruise-critic.com is a good site to do research about cruising with kids. There will be some on their who are quite nasty about it because their "cruise was ruined" because of unruly teenagers, but you will find lots of helpful information.

I haven't cruised with my kids yet (although I plan to), but I am told that Carnival will take kids as young as 2 into their programs AND do diaper changs. NCL apparently takes 2 year olds into the kids program as well but won't change diapers.

If your kids are old enough (at least 3) Princess has fabulous kids' programs year round.
