Default ot: tuna salad recipe

My tuna salad is very boring! I make it w/ tuna (foil pouch), mayo and chopped egg. What else can I add to make it more exciting??? TIA!

This may sound weird, but I put pickles in mine. I chop them up and add them to the salad. I also use onions and celery chopped up. I have never added egg, but that sounds good - I'll have to try it next time.

Add a pinch of tarragon. I also use pickles and celery in mine - or sometimes I use capers instead of pickles.

I make two versions. The first is just like Karen's and the other I mix mayonaise, sliced almonds, red grapes (halved) and salt and pepper. I usually eat this one in a pita exclusively--don't know why, but I do.

I use dijon mustard and some basalmic vinegar instead of the mayo. But only if you like something with a tart bite. And I will also substitute canned salmon for the canned tuna sometimes.

When I need to add a kick to my tuna I'll put in either chopped pickles or onions/celery.

Also, for color sometimes I'll put in chopped RED onion, really pretty and tasty!

I use dijon mustard too and it is so good! I like my tuna salad tart and a few drops of fresh lemon juice does the trick nicely too.

Don't laugh - but I swear by chopped apples. It adds a great texture and the sweet contrast is yummy!
