OT: Just got this and it is wonderful!

I am a self proclaimed vacuum-aholic. I love vacuuming my floors and am a little ocd about it. All the lines have to go the same way and it is just a nightmare moving all the furniture so I can do my lines this way. It drives DH crazy. With DS I am not able to vacuum every day like I would like to so I usually go every other day but it drives me crazy to have a dirty floor.
This weekend DH came home with a Dust Buster 3 in 1 vacuum for me and I am in love. It can be a dustbuster, a roller brush hand held vacuum or a upright floor vacuum for carpets or hardwood floors (you and turn the brush off). It is cordless so it is so easy to just pull out and do a quick touch up. It really does a good job. I am convinced that every mom needs one because it is so easy to use and gets the job done without having to pull out a big vacuum. It has made things so easy and I am happy that my floors are cleaned several times a day in between big vacuuming days. Picks up Cheerios perfect! Just thought I would share.

LOL. I wish you and your vacuum would come visit my house! :) I'm kind of dreading the day when DD gets mobile because I know I'll have to step up my housecleaning or else she's bound to find all sorts of things hidden in the darkness under the couch. I do so admire those more domestically minded women like you! I'm glad you like your new vacuum!

I have the Shark Cordless Sweeper and I feel the same way about it: it's so nice to be able to just pull it out and do a quick clean, especially after my kids have just dumped crumbs all over the ground. Or like this afternoon. I was putting together some Target furniture for the playroom when Amy decided to hav fun ripping the styrofoam padding into zillions of pieces! The Shark picked it right up! Thank goodness for portability!

I'm so surprised b/c it seems like any cordless appliance I've ever tried has been crap. It really has good suction? (I am NOT a vacuum-aholic and you would probably faint if you came to my house.)

It isn't as good as my big vacuum but it does a great job for a quick clean up. I usually use it to pick up any food that DS throws and to pick up any excess dirt that we track in. It keeps my carpet looking good in between when I use my big vacuum. I can run it through out my entire house in a matter of 7-10 min. and I am not worried about DS getting in the way or pulling on the cord. It's great!
