Well you really didn't miss anything. Basically Rachel had tearful good-byes with everyone except Ross. So Ross freaked out and later went off on her. So she said she didn't say good-bye because she couldn't ~ it was too hard blah, blah, blah. Then he kissed her. Cliff hanger until next week as that's when the credits rolled.
Side stories: the birth mother went into labor so they're off to the hospital. And Chandler found handcuffs in the guest bedroom which turned out to be Nana's. Ewww! Allison ~ mommy to Declan 3.24.03 and number 2 EDD 9.14.04 |

Yeah, not much really happened. Okay, then, why did i get teary? I guess I'm more attached to this show more than I thought. Good grief. It started coming on the same year that dh & I got married. It's like the ending of an era. :(

Where did Rachel go? Since we moved we haven't unpacked our tv. Feel so out of it. Who's Nana?

Rachel got a job in Paris and is taking Emma. Nana is Ross and Monica's grandmother, who used to live in the apt. (Monica and Chandler are moving to the suburbs, in case you haven't seen that development). I thought last night was a pretty lame show. The writers/producers have made Ross's character such an idiot it's almost painful to watch. (Of course, I still do!)

Denise, I'm the same way!! I still remember the night the first Friends episode aired - after it was over, I went out with my dh and his bro and SIL...we were still friends then, and just starting to get those "dating" feelings. But you're right - it's kind of an end of an era. Although I have to say the last few episodes have been pretty lame. The writers are making it easier, IMO, for me to say goodbye to the show :)

I have always found this show painful to watch...don't get me wrong I try to "hang" which is why I clicked on the thread for I know who is who, but I doubt I've ever watched more than a combined 4 hours of it. I really don't know why, I guess I really do feel like the guys are portrayed as idiots, and I was single for a long time, and had my share of guy friends who I ummmmm kissed....but I still can't get into it for the life of me...
Now Seinfeld I loved...and when I think it is just because I'm "older" it can't be since so many people I know my age LOVE it???? I'm a reject...I've tried...and would love to know why I can't stand it, for it is painful for me to watch.... Neve...I started watching Friends my sophmore year in college since that is when it came out. We were all hooked. Over the years, it got "old" for me and I don't even like to watch the re-runs...
BUT SEINFELD!!! Well, that is a whole another story...It is SO NY and just so funny...DH and I watch the re-runs all the time...I LOVE it! We sit and laugh about episodes. I'll say "remember the time when Kramer (fill in the blank)...DH takes over and we just laugh and laugh...My Dad is the biggest Seinfeld fan. He has played raquetball on Thursdays for years but he always seemed to make it home in time for Seinfeld...either that, or we had to record it for him. I miss Seinfeld terribly. We had a Seinfeld finale party...we were so sad to see it go...

I, too, started watching Friends my sophomore year in college (along with ER) and at the time I loved it, so have stuck with it. I agree that had I been a bit older when it came out I'd have probably not gotten addicted to it, especially the way it's been so "melodramatic" the past 2 seasons! But I DO still watch it, I guess because I'm the kind of person who needs closure, or maybe it's just my trying to hold onto some last vestige of youth. I will be sad to see it go next week but I think it is time...

I cannot accept the fact that these people are always hanging out at the coffee shop and that the stupid sofa is somehow ALWAYS free for them whenever they want to go there.
