Default caught red handed!

What are your funniest moments of being caught red handed?

Today we had Lil'bit playing in the family room while we were cleaning...totally not paying attention when all of a sudden we hear this mmmmrrrrhhhh growling. (this crazy growling noise she makes when she is eating something she realy likes) So we go and look at her and low and behold from the coffee table she pulled down a plate of buttered english muffin that Miss Moose didnt finish eating and was sitting there chowing down! What do we do? Take it away....nope...we take a picture....hehehe. She ate the whole thing too! Too funny! I attached pictures...she even ate two fisted - couldnt get it fast enough!

I can't see the pics, but I'd love to! <EDIT - now I see them! hee-hee, she is chowing down isn't she! Oh, and we are living the same life I think, because we have just about every toy that I can see in your picture! The blocks, the linking beads, the elephant...>

My funniest isn't exactly mischief he got into, but he was trying to reach toys in the bottom of one of his 3 toy baskets (just regular baskets, about 13 inches tall, I guess) and I hear him crying and sounding really mad or distressed or something, and I find his feet sticking up in the air because he is head first in the basket! No picture, because I thought it was important to rescue him right away, but it was hard because I was laughing so hard!

Adorable, looks like she really enjoyed it!

The other night DH and I were in the kitchen working on dinner, and DD was in the living room (which is out of sight from the kitchen) and I made a comment about how lately she's been doing really well playing on her own. Well a few minutes passed and it was just incredibly too quiet - I went in to check on her and she was full fledge jumping on the couch like a crazy monkey! She was having a grand time - but she did get "the gate" (time out) and a stern talking about not jumping on the couch. It was funny because the moment she got caught, she plopped on her bottom and covered her face like "I don't want to see mom's reaction to this"!! I'll admit, it did look like fun!

Lol, that is too cute. It's hard to believe she's 8 months already!

It's so funny you would mention this today because I just shot a bunch of pics of DD getting into the mail basket. She has also started taking books off the book shelves. So far her favourite is Wuthering Heights ; she keeps dragging it around with her. At least she has great taste in literature, even for a baby!

Also the first day she ever crawled she went directly over to the dog's bowl and did this:

so of course the dog's bowl has to be moved immediately!

Oh, man, we had an awful one just a couple days ago! (Warning- this is disgusting). DS was sitting on the floor in the nursery, playing with his blocks. Every day I let him go diaper-less for a little while because it helps keep his bum free of diaper rash. (You know where this is going I bet). He had already pooped that day, so I wasn't worried- I had him sitting on cloth diapers in case he peed.

Well I just ran down to pull the clean laundry out of the dryer, and I return to find him playing in his own poop! YUCK!! Luckily it hadn't been long- he just had his hands all in it but it wasn't everywhere. No pictures- it was straight into the bathtub with him!! He was very disppointed that he couldn't continue playing with the warm squishy stuff.

UGH. But it definitely qualified for "caught red handed"!

Payton is fascinated with the trash can in the study. He leaves the one in our bedroom alone, but continually pulls the one over in the study-- probably because it's full of all the 'paper' trash-- envelopes, shredded receipts, etc. I DO need to get a pic of it soon!

I love the pictures you posted! And I happened to notice we have the same dishes :) We've got the glasses, too, but not for long-- DH keeps breaking them (on purpose?!).

Just amazing all the things they can get into. This is what I found a few days ago...I'm thinking she needs her own computer already!

Keep in mind I call Alex "Monkey Boy". My step-daughter broke our phone (dropped it in water - I didn't even want to know) so I am stuck using a corded phone until our next Costco run. I was in the kitchen talking to another Mommy friend when I commented, "Alex is in the dining room (next to kitchen) being quiet, I better look..." Before I could finish the sentence I stepped to the threshold to hear my son going "Mmm-mmm" and watching him attempt to drink my diet Pepsi that I had put in the very middle of the dining room table. Did I mention he was sitting on the table? So now my dining room chairs are all lined up against the wall... I admit, I did have to laugh, even when cleaning off the table, him, the chairs etc. He looked so proud of himself. So glad I am not alone...

This is what happens when you leave an almost 14month old in the kitchen alone ;)
