College Football Widow here

Any others out there? Today is the first NC State homegame and here I am sitting alone in front of the computer while M is taking a nap. Even though the game doesn't start until six DH left at 11:45 to go tailgate. One down and six more to go.

Not a widow, DH is watching his USC/Vandy game on TV right now!

Sorry that you're a widow today honey. :)

DH is "allowed" (hee hee) to go to 3 games this season and we sell the rest of the tickets. Since Columbia is about 3.5 hours from here, he ends up being gone all weekend and that is just too much for me to handle these days.

Wife of a Domer here. Luckily for me, DH is taking DD to church, then to the nearby military hotel where a friend is getting them in to watch the ND game. She's got her cheerleading outfit and everything. Yeah me because I'm going for a manicure/pedicure!

I can commiserate though because when it was just the two of us, he would take a long weekend and fly from Tokyo to LA to watch them play USC. In a few weeks he's going back for the Michigan and Purdue games but luckily my mom is coming out so we're going on a shopping trip to Shanghai (make him think twice about leaving us alone for two weeks .;) )

She looks great. We're going to get a NC State cheerleading outfit too in the next couple of weeks.

Not today, but I was last Saturday. DH informed me today that he will be at games the next 4 weekends in a row. We live about 31/2 hours from where he went to school (VA Tech), which means he leaves the house about 7 and gets home around 10 pm.

Not only could I have become a football widow, but a real widow. There was a shooting in the same parking area where DH tailgates on Saturday! Holy smokes. Two people were shot and killed because they were throwing a football and some jerks who were driving eratically had a problem with that. The last thing I want to hear when DH gets home from a football game is "Two people got shot and killed in the parking lot that we tailgate in"

I heard about that after I read your OP and my first thought was I hope Sonia's dh wasn't one of those guys. How scary!
