All this recent talk about preschool has got me thinking about it for DS. A friend of mine mentioned that Bright Horizons was very good but if I was interested in it for preschool for DS starting in September 2006, I would have to put his name on the waiting list now. Since my friend's DS does not actually go to preschool there, she didn't have any personal experience to share.
So I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with Bright Horizons for preschool. I had no idea that it could be so difficult to get into preschool and that you needed to get on waiting lists years in advance for certain schools. It had never occured to me that DS may not get into preschool if I don't stay on top of school's application deadline dates.

Bright Horizons is a company that has centers as well as many onsite company daycare's. They have a good reputation, but as with all facilities like that you really need to find parents who have sent their child to that facility. For example, just because (insert any restaruant chain name, for example Ruby Tuesday's) is considered a great restaraunt by many children's mags, and every one I have gone to seems good, doesn't mean the one near my house or yours is excellent, great service, good food, etc. The experience will be personal. Since you are talking about a your child's bulk of time, not just a meal, I would go in and look, ask tons of questions, and ask lots of local parents. Good luck! Finding a match for your family and schedule can certainly be difficult. :-)
