Default Thanksgiving Travel

So I just made our reservations to Minneapolis for Thanksgiving. Continental no longer gives discounts for toddlers, which stinks, but I went ahead and bought a seat for DS (17 months) since the fares were pretty low. We are flying at what I consider off times that week (Tuesday and Saturday), bringing our carseat (Wizard or Roundabout?)stroller and a travel toddler bed (we will check it). Can any of you veteran mommy travellers suggest anything else that I should bring or do to make this trip a little easier?

I am a really bad flyer (I was in WTC 2 on 9-11 and just can't seem to get that noise out of my head) so anything I can do in advance to make this trip less stressful will help!

TIA
