Default Yesterday it was 81 here, today the high is 30 and snow expected...

Yes, it's big shift but listening to the news broadcasters you would think the world is coming to an end. I love all the graphics they make ---"Arctic Blast 06" (with falling snowflakes in the backgound and omnious music).

Anyway, I am kinda hoping for some of the snow to stick. DH will get to stay home and we can take DD's picture for our Christmas cards!!!

Have a great day and if you are in Texas --Stay Warm!

Yeah, we are in OK and I honestly was expecting to wake up to a few inches of snow on the ground. Schools are cancelled (and so is Mother's Day Out! I'm so bummed, I really could have used the break with DH out of town!). I just got up and the walkways have a trace of snow but the grass is not even touched! So much for the big snowstorm!

Same here. I am from up north so it's nice to see a touch of home. It's funny how everything shuts down for a little ice. I kind of like it though, an excuse to stay home! It's 28 and flurries are falling and my front yard is covered in ice.

we have the same thing going on here...mass hysteria in the broadcasting world! and so far....it's just really cold and rainy, though it has been raining for about 13 straight hours....and it has dropped about 45 degrees in that time....

We're in the same boat. We're in mo. and the one of the news channels has had nonstop coverage,i had to turn it off i was getting so scared, mil still hadn't brought dd back from preschool. I was so relieved when they walked through the door.
It dropped 10 degrees in 2 minutes last night. whammoo-it's 1:12 in the morning and we just got done removing a branch that was caught on our gutter.Right outside dd's room and would you believe that even with removing it through her window she didn't wake up. wow.
Right now it's 30 degrees outside and they're predicting 6 inches of snow by morning and they's 3 inches of ice and sleet on the ground. yay winter.

Okay, I know y'all are chilly, but I'm jealous.

I live in southern Louisiana, and I've never seen snow. Never. Not once. Haven't seen it, touched it, built a snowman, etc.

Sigh...one day I'll win the lottery and have a winter home in Switzerland...:-)

The biggest mistake I made is the one that most of us make...I did not live in the moment enough. I wish I had not been in such a hurry to get on to the next thing: dinner, bath, book bed. I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less. - Anna Quindlen

Hmmmm. That's an idea.

We're supposed to be getting 6-10 inches by noon tomorrow. I guess that's supposed to start as soon as this freezing rain lets up.... (yuck!)

I remember one time when I was little and my cousins came to stay with us for Christmas and it was suppose to snow they were so totally excited and stayed up that night waiting for it to snow. I thought they were so weird waiting for it to snow. But they lived in Florida and we live in Pennsylvania, it always snows whats the big deal??? I didn't think about them not ever seeing snow.
They now bring their children up here every year to go sled riding, ect around the holidays.
I have always been from PA I couldn't imagine it being Christmas without being cold and snowy (well its not always snowy but its always cold)

My mom is in Texas and she said the forecasters were saying it would be "near impossible" to drive in the DFW area. Sounds a little dramatic to me!

Hope you guys are nice and toasty inside drinking hot chocolate! :)
