Default All Clad slow cooker (crock pot) - anyone have it? Other recommendations?

I'm thinking of getting one but would like to hear more about it (no reviews on Williams Sonoma site). Looking at the $99 one, not the deluxe for $250.

I bought a Rival Smart Pot at Target, still in box, but now after seeing negative reviews I may return.

ETA: Now kind of leaning toward the Kitchen Aid.

Thanks!

I don't have it but my friend just bought it and returned it. She used it three times and said it made the food taste like metal. Yuck!

We've had ours since just before Christmas, and we use it at least twice a week. So far, we really like it. We did have to swap parts in the store to find a lid/crock combo with a good fit - the lid rocked a bit on the first one we tried. One thing that helped to sell us on a $100 slow cooker was Williams Sonoma's product guarantee (return/exchange it at any time).

I just bought the $250 one upon a recommendation from a good friend who cooks a lot. The insert is cast iron so it can be put on the stove to brown the meat rather than using a separate pan. It is 7 QT, which from the other post seems big, but I think it's a good size for me. Is yours programmable?

All the models we're considering are programmable, including the Rival.

Default RE: I have another question re slow cookers

I'm looking to buy a new one and not spend much $$. (My DH thinks CC is at 1,000, but it's more like 4,000 only since October - eek!)
My friend bought one from Target and she HATES it. It BOILS everything on the lowest setting. Looks pretty though. I have an old fashioned Rival one. It's small and it doesn't have a lift out - so I need to wash it in the sink, with the plug hanging over the side. Can't afford a WS. Leave it to MIL to buy me the cheapest thing. But it served me well for over 7 years...
What's out there besides Target (who I would have normally gone for) and Williams-Sonoma? Looking for something in the $50 range? Any recommendations?
