Ok who is excited about the last Harry Potter book?

I am a HP junkie. I have reread the books more times than I can count. I'll want to reread one of the middle books so I will. Then when I finish it I decide to keep reading the rest of the books or even go back to the beginning and start the whole series!

I started reading them when ds was born. #4 came out when he was just a few weeks old, I think. It probably saved my breastfeeding! I would only let myself read while I was nursing so I would look forward to bf'ing rather than dreading it. I would think, "come on and get hungry!"

I actually did not pre-order this one so I will be crossing my fingers that I can get a copy tomorrow morning. I asked dh if he minded if I took the day off tomorrow from being a SAHM so I could read all day. he has no problem with it. Should have it knocked out by Sunday. :)

Heck yes!!

My husband being from the UK we ordered the UK version. Of course, I also have a 12 year old son who by rights gets to read it first.

I, too am avoiding ALL news articles...spoilers, etc.

Am so looking forward to it!!

I don't want to have early discussions and ruin it for anyone b/c we may let something slip. Should we have an agreed upon time when we can talk about it here? 2-4 weeks? What do you think? :)

Me! I'm sooo excited! DH and I are total Potter nuts. We tried to convince MIL to watch the kids so that we could go to the release party at the local bookstore and she looked at us like we were crazy.

Oh I cannot wait! I am such a spoiler QUEEN & am all spoiled up! DH knows someone who got the book in advance (don't know how though). :D A couple things I think are disappointing (to me anyway) but I'm excited to read it nonetheless. Actually, if I didn't know these things in advance it would ruin it for me & I wouldn't enjoy the book as much. So I like to prepare myself. lol I wish I could go to one of the parties tonight but I am going first thing tomorrow morning to get it & spend the day reading!!!! WOO HOOOO!!!!!!!

ETA: Beth, try WalMart or Costco, I've never had any trouble getting the books the "next day" from either of them.

I just reread 5 and 6 and am ready for 7 to come! I realized though that I ordered it with free shipping from Amazon, so who knows when it will actually arrive. I need my Harry Potter fix! We just saw Order of the Phoenix at the movies but I had just finished reading it and couldn't judge it so much based on its merits as much as how much it was different from the book!

DH has seen the movies, but never read the books(!), so he's not so excited. I stay up way too late each night just to read. I think the last one came out weeks after DS was born and when I just reread it, I didn't remember so much! Granted I've also only read it once, as opposed to the few times I've read the others, but still, a lot was new to me for that one too.

You *should* get it tomorrow. As I understand it, Amazon has already shipped the pre-ordered books to post offices, with instructions not to deliver them until tomorrow.

apparently, my babysitter is excited because she just canceled on us for tonight so that she can pick up her copy of Harry Potter. Ha! As if we would even be out that late!!

This was me with Book 5 (I think :) ). Billy was a couple months old and I loved nursing as it was totally uninterrupted reading time :)

Billy just woke up from a nice long nap so we are going to the bookstore tonight for the party (ours starts at 8:00 so we'll get a couple hours in)

DH works Saturdays but I'm getting time on Sun to read it.
