Default Choice of Combo seat

Toby,

Thanks for your response to my question.

If I were to get a combo seat - which one would you recommend - the thing that concerned me in the booster seat report was the shoulder strap issue.

Thanks

Gaby

Default RE: Choice of Combo seat

Take a look at them, and try some out in your car. You might want to get the booster report from the Fields ($5 ish). I think we went into depth about what kind of adjuster each has. None are perfect. The Cosco Summit/Safety 1st Vanguard is the only one with an open loop belt adjuster, but the seat itself has such low harness slots that I wouldn't recommend it. The others may be OK in *your* car, or might not be.

Overall, I'd say that my "favorite" combo is the Evenflo Comet, which replaces the Apollo, but you'd still have to check that you won't have the shoulder belt problem. Of course, if your child has awhile before reaching 40 pounds, you might not need the shoulder belt adjuster at all.
