Default What Kettler Trike?

I JUST started to look at Kettler trikes for my soon to be 2 year old for his birthday. I need to do this ASAP and don't have time to read all of the post. Not to mention we are in the middle of moving out of state, research time is limited :)

Anyhow, what trike do you recommend and who has the best deals/service. He is 2 years old and weighs about 33 pounds. He almost can ride a tike already, but I think I want the push bar. I want something that he can have for a little while and not outgrow soon. Please help with any advice!

Thanks,
Wendy

We recently purchased the Blossom from needak.com . The Junior is basically the same, with different colors. They nicely list all of the different types of Kettlers at this website: http://needak.com/toykett.htm#trike . This chart is also helpful: http://needak.com/toyacc.htm#ketsize . We got the Blossom for $69 delivered plus an extra $16 for the pushbar. We just didn't think we'd need the air tires, automatic freewheeling, handbrake, locking handlebar, tipping bucket, etc. The age range is from 1 to 6. Our DD is 2 1/2 and can mostly ride by herself now. She loves it!!

Note: I did see a great deal at One Step Ahead on a fully loaded Kettrike for $99.95. Probably worth checking out if you're interested in all the extra features: http://www.onestepahead.com/jump.jsp...755&change=117

Thanks so much Lydia! What kind of material are the tires (non air type)? Are they hard rubber or plastic?

Yes, I did see the one in the One Step Ahead catalog. I have been pouring over it and trying to compare it to the other ones.

For others, are the air tires much better or different? What about the frame shape?

The needak.com website says the non-air tires are Synthetic Rubber Tread Wheels.

Well, in the end, I decided on the Air Happy with pushbar. Three of us are splitting it so money wise it won't hit us too hard :) I hope he enjoys it!
