Here are ways we all can burn calories this holiday season:
Shopping for presents at least 3 hours: burns 468 calories, roughly equals 2 (3 1/2oz.) pieces of ham Wrapping presents for 1 hr: burns 102 calories, roughly equals 1 cup of hot cocoa Putting up the Christmas tree, 1 hr: burns 156 calories, roughly equals 1/2 cup of eggnog Cleaning house before holiday party, 2hrs: burns 476 calories, roughly equals 1 piece of mincemeat pie (who eats mincemeat pie???-I never have!) Chatting with guests at holiday party, 2hrs: burns 272 calories, roughly equals 2 (1 1/2 oz.) pieces of fruitcake (I knew being longwinded would work out in my favor sometime!!!) Singing Carols, 1 hr: burns 136 calories, roughly equals 2 Christmas cookies Preparing holiday feast, 2 hrs: burns 340 calories, roughly equals 5 (1/2oz) pieces of fudge Eating holiday feast, 1 hr: burns 102 calories, roughly equals 2 small sweet potatoes (No joke this really was on the list!!!) Sledding 1 hour: burns 476 calories, roughly equals 1 piece of pecan pie! HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!! AND BE OF GOOD CHEAR!!! |
