Default What is your goal?

I'm starting a new one. Just reached my last goal which was to stay consistently under 160 lbs. Now I want to drop a pants size by next summer or fall (to coincide with clothes shopping).

I find pants sizes are the most motivating, since I'm a pear shape and most of my jiggle is on the lower half. I figure if I get the size, I'll also lose about 10 pounds and quite a bit of jiggle in the process.

Now how am I going to get there? Lots of Zumba (2-3 x/week) and some weight classes. I'm also trying to avoid junk food and stop eating when I'm full. I've noticed my appetite has decreased and I want to use that to my advantage. My dentist had me on a soft foods diet for a while, I recently found I have TMJ, and soft foods turned out to be good for losing weight.

I'll play. I've been following South Beach since after Thanksgiving and I've lost about 16 pounds. I still have a LONG way to go. Currently I am trying to focus on excercising. My goal is to get on my elliptical 5x/week. Right now I am only doing 20 minutes, but I hope to increase my time by 5 minutes every week.

My goal is to run at least 75 miles a month and to feel comfortable and confident in size 6.
My big picture goals are overall well being and optimal health.

Duh, i didn't actually post my goal!

i am trying to lose 30lbs, to get to a goal weight of 140lbs.
i am trying to get back into all of my own clothing, size 6, with comfort and confidence, as PP put it so well.
i am trying to drink more water every day and less caffeine.
i am trying to end the sugar cravings (with little success so far...)
i am trying to STOP EATING WHEN I AM FULL!
i am trying to work out for 45-60 minutes, currently 6 days/week and eventually at least 4 days/week, but hopefully 5.

I'm trying to lose my preggo weight and get back to 125, the weight I was before I got preggo with Dora.

On top of that it would be nice to lose another 3-5 lbs and be in what Dh likes to call "training weight," the weight I was when I got married, and was running regularly.

I'm currently sidelined with a knee problem, but I would like to get that properly addressed instead of dismissed so I can start running regularly again, do some races. If I meet one more doc that says, "you probably shouldn't run anymore" Dh is going to hurt someone.

My current goal is 25 pounds by June 1st. We were doing biggest loser at work for 10 weeks. That kept me from going hog wild for Thanksgiving and Christmas. So it ended. And I went up about 8 lbs in 2 weeks!!! Now I am back on track, we'll see how things go over the next few weeks. Also trying to drink more water, get more fiber (Thank God for wheat germ and ground flax seed that I can throw in things), stay off the caffiene (didn't work today so I am still up typing, lol) and get back to WW meetings. I am glad to see familiar names here though when I do get to check in. :-)

weight is so frustrating to me lately! I used to be the person that ate anything and never gained an ounce. I did not weigh over 100 lbs until my 3rd year in college and even then it was only 106 ( I am 5'7)!

Well, my freaking trip to Iraq really screwed me up (yes, I'm blaming it on my deployment...not the fact that college was 11 years ago). I gained almost 20 lbs and went from a size 6-8 jeans size to a 12!!!!! It's not so much my waist, but my hips, thighs, and rear end! I measured a 29" waist last week when I had my physical fitness test, so I need to slim down in the thighs, etc!!!

When I was in Iraq, I ate like cr@p. There was a dessert bar that always had ice cream, pie, cakes, cheesecake, cookies, etc and I guess I indulged a little too much.

I need to trim down so I can fit back into my regular pants again! After my first DC, I was back to pre-pregnancy wieght and clothes after 2 weeks! Not anymore...Sorry about the vent, I am just frustrated...

I appreciate the positive thoughts, but really, I need to learn about self control! We are going on a trip down south in a week in a half and when we get back, it's back to basics. My DH and I have decided that we need to make a few changes in our life and nutrition/exercise is foremost in our goals.

Hopefully by this summer, I will be down a few sizes and fell a bit better about my appearance. Maybe I can loose this little kangaroo pouch, especially since I'm not carrying a joey!!

Hope your goals are coming along and you are happy with your progress!
