Thick CD and lower backbone

Greetings..

I am new to this forum and new to CDing. I have been doing it for two weeks now. I notice that sometimes when i cd my DD there is this persistant *bulk* on her butt; the CD is so thick i imagine it must be uncomfortable for her to lay on her back, kwim?? However, i'd rather see this bulk than putting her back to sposies. I was wondering if any of you know any resources that could put my mind to peace. BTW DD is 15 weeks this wed, if it makes any difference.

Hmmm... what kind of CDs are you using? Maybe you can modify a fold or what you are using so that the diaper isn't quite as thick on baby's bottom.

The only other thing I'd add is that it won't be long at all until she'll refuse to spend much time at all on her back (she'll want to sit up, roll onto her tummy, etc.) and this will be a completely moot point!

I find this bulk especially in ME one size diaper with AF cover. However, even in FB and 2 JB inserts, the bulk is still there, or am i being paranoid?? I just get my FF QD and ST, they are pretty trim. But DD is a heavy wetter; in a 3 hrs nap the ST is already soaked. So i think i have to put something extra into it (haven't tried the extra stuffing) if i want to use it overnight and that means extra bulk! BTW i use the FFs with Aristocrat.

These days i use a prefold (indian, chinese, or hemp) laid over her bumpy day in an angel fold sans snappi/pin. At night, i keep using FB and 2 JB.

Elly... i wondered the same thing sometime back. She does not complain as if she is in pain (and she hollers if she feels anything in the slightest normally) so i think it is ok. I put a thin folded blanket under dd from her waist up.. that kind of evens out the level. Maybe you could try that?
