Default cheapest website for CPFs?

Hi everybody,

What is the cheapest website to order chinese prefolds from? Also, did you buy the newborn size, or did you just start with infant size. How long did you use infant size before moving to regulars?

Thanks!

Sue

Sue, can't help with CPF sizing (though infant CPFs sound awfully big for a newborn) but I love buying from Colleen at www.naturalbabies.com! She will price match, too.

Naturalbabies has very cheap shipping, and competitive pricing, and she ships extremely fast! I had 10 preemie CPFs and 24 infants when DS was born, and the preemies basically never fit. My son was almost 10lb at birth, and long also, but the infants were fine. This applies to snappi'd CPFs. If you just want to fold in three and lay it in the cover, they'd probably be too big, and you might want to go with the preemies, but you'll get poop on the cover a lot. At five weeks, the infants fit my kiddo pretty well, and I think we'll need the regulars in a month or so. I have 12 large indian prefolds, too, which are very soft. We are using them for burp cloths now. I most likely will just get more of those. The infant size is also available from Teresa at Granitesmith on ebay. She will deal with you directly, and the indians are a the same price as CPFs, even with her expensive shipping.

I got my PFs (Euro, Indian, and Chinese) from Teresa (granitesmith on ebay) and was very pleased with her quick response and helpfulness. I ended up getting 12 preemies and 24 infant sizes. Kaya was 7 pounds at birth and we were able to use the preemies for about 3.5 weeks (up to 9 pounds). We now use the preemies as doublers inside the infant sizes. We snappi'd the PFs and it held the BF poop just fine. I think we've only had the occasional leak into the covers (never on the clothing). Of the different PFs, the Indians are probably my favorite because they're so soft and absorbent. However, the Euros ad Chinese are much trimmer, except when you use a doubler with them. The Indians work very well by themselves during the day and are less bulky thn te CPFs with doubler. Right now the CPFs with doubler are great for night-time diapering.

I bought them from www.naturalbabies.com . That was a while back but they were a good price and the CS is very good. Amy Grace was just over 9lbs at birth and was able to use the infant size right away (with the front folded down a bit). She wore the infants until she was about 6mos old.

Another vote for infant sized CPF's - Neve was 10 lbs. at day one and we used them for a good 3 months before going straight to premiums.

when i researched it, naturalbabies had the best price.

i think i would get infant first, because standards are REALLY bulky on a newborn. when schuyler was born, we used some super old CPFs that my mom still had from cding my sister and me in the 70s!! but i think we are going to get some infants for the next babe. when i got them to stuff fuzzibunz, dh went nuts for them and said, "we have to get these for the next baby! these are great!"
