I am so sad. I don't know what happened. My bag and I were sitting on the sofa this morning enjoying a coffee when I noticed it had icky grease all over one of the lower corners, poor thing. I suspect that it met up with the stoller some time last night or early this morning for a tryst and got dirty as a result. I am going to try and clean it. DH knew how sad I was. He even said that he really likes my new beautiful bag. Do think this means he would support another purchase say if the grease doesn't come out?

Hi! First try "Shout Wipes" on the stain. They look like hand wipes. Then spray it with shout pre-wash (it comes in a RED bottle with a sprayer-it's not a stick or squeeze bottle). Let it sit for a while then wash your bag according to mfr directions. If the stain is not out yet then repeat. Also try using oxy clean. Put 6 or 7 scoops in very HOT water and mix well. Then put your bag in and soak. The oxy clean may fade the colors if bright so use as a last resort.
If the colors run or get faded then maybe your hubby will let you get another after he sees how hard you've been trying to get the stain out. My daughter sat in hot fudge wearing light green and white check 100% cotton shorts. I used the shout wipes immediately then the spray and it all came out. Good Luck. |

I don't know what to say... I feel so bad. I got grease on a LE tote and I was devastated, I can't imagine how you feel. I got the majority of the grease out with regular dish soap. I went online and searched for grease removal and that is what I got. I actually gave up early in the scrubbing process because it was a 39 dollar bag, but if it was a WW that I loved... well that would have been a different story.

Did you ask Kim what you could try?

I agree. Try Shout Wipes. Or baby wipes. Then move on to something like Dawn directly on the spot and rinse with cool water.
Kim posted some cleaning instructions here before. I think technically they're dry clean only but she has run hers through the wash. Don't quote me on that though. Poor bag! :( Anna |

OMG!!!! Your beautiful bag!! Were you able to get the stain out?! Can you use scotch-brite spray thingie on it to prevent future accidents.
I think your dh is very sweet to recognize the enormity of this tragedy and yes i think he would wholeheartedly support a new bag.. heehee. |

She called me as soon as she read my post to help me thru the trauma and advise me. Is she not the greatest?
