My son started a mothers morning out program this fall and I think every child in his class has a LL Bean boat and tote with their name on it. Of course you have to send a bag with chage of clothes, diaper etc. I was just so surprised when all the kids had these. Am I missing something here? I sent his cute space backpack that his cousins gave him for his birthday. Talk about sticking out like a sore thumb.

LOL! I think your space backpack was probably most appreciated by the staff. I bet they had no trouble finding your DS's things!
If "everyone" had a certain bag, the stubborn part of me would want something else! Bethany mom to one and one on the way! http://lilypie.com/days/060226/0/8/1/-6/.png "And children are always a good thing, devoutly to be wished for and fiercely to be fought for." -J. Torres |

I've never even heard of that bag. At my kids' preschool, they ask us to just bring a few diapers and a change of clothes in a big Ziplock baggie for their cubby holes b/c it takes up less room. Some parents still bring in backpacks or bags, but I've stuck with the Ziplocks.
I think you should use whatever works for you. Lisa - mom to 2 yr old twin boys |

I won't monogram my child's name on ANYTHING that leaves our house, EVER. The police here really advise against it as it can assist child predators. I really think that companies such as LL Bean, Land's End etc, should stop offering monogramming on children's items.
OK, off my soapbox now. I would keep using your DS's cute backpack. Melissa Maya Papaya!
