6 1/2 mo wears a size 2-3 yo hat!

My 6 1/2 mo has a large head. It runs in the family (mom, uncle and grandpa) and he is meeting all his milestones, is happy, eating and sleeping well. Therefore I declined when his pediatrician suggested I go take him for a CT scan. At the time he was only a month old and weighed 10lbs and I didn't want to subject him to a big dose of radiation when there were no other indications that there was a problem. When I purchased a new hat for him and had to return it for 2 sizes up for the 2-3 year old size, I am wondering if I should be concerned?!?!

Has anyone else run into this with their child who has a big head? If he seems to be on target developmentally, should I be concerned?

do either of your families have any records of head circumference for you or DC's daddy? you might feel better if you could compare...

I wish we had old records like that! Sadly none are available.
