Default TB vaccination???

Has anyone had experience with vaccinating their child against tuberculosis? I have heard that registering a (TB vaccinated) child for school in the U.S. can be difficult as once you have the vaccine, your test results will always show up positive. Thus, you will have to produce a chest xray to prove that the child in fact does not have TB.
We are living in Singapore, where TB is not an epidemic, but the rate of prevalence is higher than in the U.S. and most Western European countries. We are debating whether or not to get our baby vaccinated. Any insight would be appreciated.

Default RE: TB vaccination???

Hi - DS was vaccinated for TB. Our ped. told us that he would need a chest x-ray instead of the normal TB test and to be sure to request it or he would test positive.
