Haha I love it! I am just like that - if it's free, you bet I want it! Of course, my favorite game to play is "Guess how much this was!"

I play that game with my husband too but he always
ruins it.

I'll say, "Guess how much I paid for this?"

And, he says, "Hmmm...you paid $1."

What kind of guess is that? Nothing costs a dollar.

I had the exact same experience!! The cashier asked me if I had a Blockbuster membership and if I wanted the free movie rental! I said, "Absolutely!!!". Maybe they are telling all cashiers to ask customers????? Seems crazy to me!!

The kids and I were out doing some errands and I
wanted to run into our local Hallmark store. I was
going to grab a few cards. I found 3 cards
and took them to the counter to pay.

The cashier is ringing up my cards and then asks
me if I want the Blockbuster rental. I have no idea
what she is talking about!

So, she starts to explain that since I had purchased
3 cards, I get a Blockbuster card for a free rental.

But, here's my question, why is she even asking me
if I want it??? Of course I do! It's a free rental.
If I don't use it, I will give it to my brother or my
sister or a neighbor.

If I was a cashier, I wouldn't even ask the person
if they want it! I would just assume that everyone would
want the FREE gift, whatever it is!! :)

Maybe that's the Bargain Shopper in me?! :)

so are you saying that Hallmark is having a special when you buy 3 cards, you may be *offered* a free video rental from Blockbuster? :)

We play that game here too. DH used to over-guess but he's learned since his first guess for the Kangaroo Climber I found recently was only $1. HA --I wish! I love it when I get stuff for free. What a crazy question :)

Okay, i'll say it. I'd probably turn it down. We belong to netflix, and i haven't rented from blockbuster in years. I don't even know where my card is, and there's no blockbuster in my town. If i took it, i know it would end up never getting used, so i'd probably just tell them to keep it. Is that weird?
