Default Humor my moment of carseat annoyance

I have just today had, yet again, a parent express to me that they don't want to buy a seat that will last a long time because they will want a new seat since seats get dirty over the long haul. So a seat that needs to be replaced in a couple of years is good, since it will be gross and need to be replaced anyways.

Yes seats do get dirty but so do my dishes and I don't replace them every night. My house gets dirty, I don't replace that every week either. Heck, I need a bath on a regular basis...things can be cleaned, dude. Car seats are cleanable. I know, because I have cleaned them. Should I toss out my clothes when I go gardening and come home muddy?

There, I think that rant is now done. Well at least done until I hear it again.

Lol, I can understand your annoyance. I get annoyed too when ppl find out that I cloth diaper my kids. They are like, "you stick it in your washer?" Well, I don't see them having problems sticking clothes that have pee, poop or barf on it in the washer... same thing. I once got really annoyed with a girl on another msg board, b/c it seemed like the thing that mattered to her the most was whether or not the carseat had a cup holder!!! Yes, a cup holder! This was before cup holders had become more common on carseats and whatever it was that had the cupholder that she wanted, was not really a well ranked carseat.
