I've been looking at polos lately- everyone has their own pique polo....Gap, Land's End, Ralph Lauren, Target, everyone. Are their real quality differences? What are your favorites?
Which brands fit a lean build best (6yr olds)? Thanks! |

We love the Hanna polos, but buy them when they are on sale at the end of the season.

In my opinion, Lacoste would be the absolute best fit for a lean boy. And their selection of colors is very good as well. That said, I am not dropping that much money on one piece of clothing that would be worn for one season, two if you are really lucky, and than not even daily. I have some for myself
though and they are nice, i.e. stretchy and fitted. We had good luck with Tommy polos as well as Hanna's. |

we wear a LOT of polos and my 4 year old boy wears a size 6. and he is super skinny. so maybe i can help!
talbot's polos fit him really well, BUT they are a bit short. so he could wear them much longer if they had 2 more inches of lenth to them. keep in mind talbot's kids is closing forever this fall. and if you do choose their polos (end of season, they get really cheap and you could stock up if you did like them!!!) you need to know that they run a FULL SIZE SMALL. so you MUST size up a full size. ralph lauren polos work great for schuyler. we have two hand me downs that i love on him. i would not pay full price, or probably even sale price, to be honest. BUT you may be able to find some at TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, etc. target polos run MUCH longer than the others, IMO. the big boy sizes are generous- the XS fits schuyler (a 4/5) but he is too big for any 5T and for talbot's size 5- i actually think he may wear a talbot's 7 this year. not sure yet. maybe a 6. i have been VERY happy with the target polos. they are bigger, but i don't think they look sloppy. and the extra length is GREAT for my son's long long torso. i think for the price, these are excellent. i have not had fading or piling problems. and i don't think they shrank a lot. (can't remember exactly.) i decided to just go ahead with target polos this year because, for the price and because we can wear them two seasons in a row, i am going to monogram them and forgo the hand me down option. (i have my own monogram machine.) i got TONS of compliments on schuyler's monogrammed target polo last summer. that little extra something seemed to make a big difference. (yes, we are very preppy and we live in the south.)
