Default Used manual breast pump and bottles - safety questions

My sister gave me a manual Avent breast pump that she used a couple years ago. She also gave me a ton of Avent bottles and nipples. I read that it isn't safe to re-use breast pumps, but I'm thinking that's for electric ones only or for ones with a lot of small tubing. The breast pump my sister gave me has parts that look like they can be easily cleaned. Can someone confirm that its safe for me to re-use?

As for cleaning/sterilizing the pump parts as well as the bottles and nipples, is it enough to just boil all the parts in water? Do I need to buy a sterilizer to re-use them? What about just using the dishwasher?

Sorry, this is my first baby, so I have no idea.

you can steam sterilize the breast pump but I would NOT use the avent bottles they are made with #7 plastics and there is tons of article about them leaching chemicals into baby milk ( bm & formula) the Fields pulled the recommendation from the current Baby bargins book. The old and more used the bottles the more chemicals ( BPA )

The today show had a segment about toxic plastics on 4/9
April 9: Do chemicals in the plastic bottles you use every day make them unsafe? Matt Lauer talks with Dr. Leo Trasande of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

Or just google Bisphenol A --- avent clear plastic bottles are #7 plastic
