Default Why do there have to be so many June birthdays?

I think my poor DD is forever going to be stuck in a battle of busy weekends since her birthday is in June. We literally have a birthday or graduation party to contend with every Saturday this month, and most Sundays. And what date did we end up with available to celebrate her birthday on? Father's Day of course, which means the majority of her friends (and even our family) can't make it because they already had Father's Day plans made. I'm just hoping she'll be so enthralled with the balloons, cake, presents and Grandma being there that she won't think to ask why none of her friends or cousins are there to play.

Apparently I'm going to have to start sending out birthday invitations in April in order to secure a date for her birthday party in future years.

September is a very fertile month apparently...
There are 15 June birthdays in my family.... Jack was almost a June baby, but thankfully he came 3 weeks early.

I'm sorry it's troubling you!

We are lucky- ds is the only June b-day (heck, the only summer b-day) on both sides of the family! But, I do send out "save the date" cards way in advance because people schedule vacations or other activities all the time around his b-day.

Good luck with your juggling!!

We have 3 June B-days in the family, including my son. His party always lands opposite a big parade here in town. Supposedly summer born babies had a better chance 1000s of years ago of surviving due to favorable weather and plentiful food so there make be something evolution wise to the whole fertile September/October/November thing. I think I have read research that couples are a bit friskier in the fall, but who the heck knows for sure. All I know is that I got pregnant with Toby in September and on the pill.

If it makes you feel better, I have a mid-June bday and always felt my parties were well-attended (at least I didn't notice missing guests).

I have no idea how early my mom sent out the invites.

I have an end of June birthday and was always bummed in school that I could not celebrate it with my classmates. My parents got married in September after the end of fast at my grandmother's insistance. Historically there were a lot of weddings in the fall in Europe since it was after the harvest. And as previously mentioned June babies had more time to get stronger for the winter. I know a lot of people born in June and July.
