Default Anybody gone to the current Wiggles Concert

After five years of having to say "yummy yummy" immediately after hearing the words "fruit salad" the Wiggles are finally coming to Raleigh. Baby M is a huge fan so we got tickets. Martie is coming too, although her taste goes more towards High School Musical than Henry the Octopus.

Has anyone been to the Pop Goes the Wiggles tour this summers? How long is the show? Also do you still bring bones and roses and other things?

TIA

we went back in the late winter/early spring... i think it was the 'pop goes...' tour? i think the show itself lasted a little over an hour, which sam (almost 3 at the time) did well with. they let us bring snacks in at our venue, so that helped kill the time before the show as well. they kept the music from being overly loud in the auditorium and the one time they turn out the lights, they give you plenty of warning and ask all the parents to turn on their cell phone screens while they sing twinkle, twinkle. it's really cute. there were lots of kids seated close to the stage who had roses and bones and bananas and things, lots of little girls dressed up in sun hats and white gloves, but i'm not sure the security people at our venue let people who weren't seated on the main floor come down to the stage to pass gifts up (we were about six rows up and i just don't remember a flood of people going by - altho i do remember that the cast came up at a couple points during the show). we were in an arena and they blocked off about half of it with black curtains and set up the stage center court, so even the people up in the bleachers were actually quite close. it was our first 'concert' with sam and i thought it was a lot of fun for all of us.

hope you have a great time,
lori

Bananas? What are those for? We got seats on the floor. We also have the Pop Goes the Wiggles DVD and Baby M loves it. She's lucky enough to like both Greg and Sam. Martie just says "It's going to be Sam at the concert not Greg". I think we'll just bring roses and bones. I wonder what they do with all that stuff when after the concerts.

I believe that the bones get donated to animal shelters and the flowers (we brought carnations last time - doesn't have to be roses) go to local Children's hospital or someplace similar.

We are going August! Can't wait!

A banana for Anthony hmmm. Maybe I'll have to bring a bunch. LOL. I think he's gotten better looking with age.

I don't think that the Wiggles are as popular as they were when Martie was little though. Better for me though.

We went to Pop concert in May I think it was. OMG, what a GREAT concert. Seriously. And, I've been to a LOT of (adult) concerts, but this was right up there.

And, yeah, Anthony is super-cute, LOL. I had no clue about bringing flowers or fruit, but kids did that for our concert.

Have a great time!
