Default Stroller for Disneyland...

I know there's a DL board but this is more of a stroller question.

The current stroller we have is too big to fit into our car. The closest stores to us that sells strollers are Target and Walmart. I can't order online because it won't get here before we leave for DL.

I tried Craig's List but no luck. Is my only option to rent a DL stroller? I don't mind but they don't look very comfy for my 9-month old. She doesn't nap much but we will be at DL all day and night so she will have to be in the stroller almost all day long.

Do I have any other options?

TIA!

Not sure when you are leaving, kind of car, how small (car and stroller), etc. My local Target carries Maclarens and that would be what I would look at in the situation it sounds like you are in. It does sound like you are driving there, maybe you can even look up where there would be a different chain along the way (Babies R Us and Baby Depot come to mind). You should be able to find some kind of reclining umbrella stroller with all the lower end models on the market currently (Evenflo, Jeep/kolcraft, etc.). If you have a little more room, a real basic Graco or Kolcraft model might work great (basket, recline, hood, tray).

I guess in a pinch, you could always buy the Kolcraft Umbrella stroller that Disney has in its gift shops. It is usually a step up from the basic model with a hood and bit of a recline. This is the one they had when we went last year, they sold it for $50 I think...

I personally wouldn't rent because...
1. I don't think they are comfortable
2. You can often purchase a cheapy that you can give away if need be for the cost of or less than a rental
3. I think it is good/comforting for a kid to have a "home base" that doesn't change on vacation.

Default Disneyland Strollers Looked Nice

I was at disneyland 2 weeks ago, and they actually have decent rental strollers. I can't remember the exact brand but it was a three-wheeler all-terrain type with a fabric seat and decent storage..like the Phil & Teds Sport but obviously a step down. They only problem is a lot of people have them and everyone tends to park their strollers in the same places. DL puts your name on the top of it in a plastic sleeve, but I'd bring some big thing to hang off it so that it looks more like yours. I never left anything valuable in my Maclaren- there is plenty of room in the ride seats to put your backpack, purse or diaper bag and it won't fall out.

I was at Disneyland last week and their strollers looked like my BJCM. Well, not totally, but kinda. I was suprised! Just take some Clorox wipes and clean it down first!

The Disneyland strollers are Baby Joggers. They are a mesh type fabric... think VOLO Maclaren. You could always put a blanket behind your little one to provide some cushion if you think your little one needs it.

I KNOW that I have seen the typical rental with a pretty upright seat and then I have seen some with the seat in a more reclined setting... but I don't think it was adjustable. If you 9 month old is anything like my boys were they wouldn't like the more declined seat. I've seen TONS of kiddos passed out in those rental strollers and they don't seem all that uncomfortable!

this is what the strollers look like....
