Default birthday party gift question

I have twins in the same preschool class. After a poll done by a classparent it was decided that we should give gifts in the $10-20 range. Since I have twins and want to be fair, should I double that amount or bring two gifts to the parties we attend?

I'd do either. If your kids care to pick out a gift, you could do half each. If they don't care one way or the other spend the whole amount on one gift from both.

What I want to know is how someone gathers the nerve to poll how much people have to spend on a gift???
