Is he driving? A gas card? I got my 16 almost 17 yr old nephew a toboggan-like cap (no ball or anything). I saw some nice North Face ones, but he already had those and didn't have a gray one with no embellishments. His mom said that would be perfect.

How about movie theater tickets-you could get certificates to cover a couple of admissions and some treats.

Does he play video games? We get the nephews an XBOX or PS2 game usually.

I like the scratch off suggestion - those are fun for a teenager

a board game - scattergories is fun
marshmallow guns
personalized bath towel
dart board

Thanks for all the ideas!!

I may go with socks, underwear and a videogame.

ETA- I'm going to get his 14yo sister comfy PJs. Do you think a 16yo boy would like comfy PJs?

Beth

PJs would probably be OK. Heck, some teens seem to wear them to school, LOL.

What about a Kleen Kanteen?

I thought about something like a Kleen Kanteen. Actually, in the REI catalog they had this BPA Nalgene style bottle filled with survival equipment (blanket, flashlight...) and I had wondered if that would be interesting to him. He goes camping. ??

Well if he's into camping get him some Smartwool socks and Capilene underwear.

WHat about a mini-Leatherman tool? DH and I have them on our keychains. They ROCK. We frequently give them as gifts. Everyone loves them.
